Rajib Shraban, a native of West Bengal, was recently awarded the Rabindra Ratna Puraskar 2024 by the Veyil Foundation for his outstanding contributions as an author. This prestigious award is a testament to his literary prowess and dedication to the craft. The Veyil Foundation, a national NGO committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals outlined by the United Nations, recognized Rajib's significant impact on the literary world through his works.


Rajib's literary achievements have garnered praise from notable figures such as Prof Amartya Sen and Shankh Ghosh, both highly respected in the literary community. His book "Noble Loriyat" was particularly lauded by Prof Amartya Sen, adding to Rajib's list of accolades. Moreover, institutions like Biswabharati Biswavidhalay have also acknowledged his contributions, with the former Buddha Professor, Dr. Suniti Pathak, and the President of the Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Swaranananda, honoring him for his literary accomplishments.


Apart from his literary pursuits, Rajib holds a Master of Science degree from Calcutta University, one of the oldest universities in India. With a total of 64 Bengali books to his name, Rajib's body of work reflects his passion for storytelling and creativity. Furthermore, his journey as a cancer survivor showcases his resilience and determination in overcoming challenges, making him an inspiration to many.
