K Chandrasekhar Rao Moves High Court To Stay Proceedings Of Justice L Narasimha Reddy Commission
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has moved the High Court seeking a direction to stay all proceedings of the Justice L. Narasimha Reddy Commission. The commission was set up to inquire into Power Purchase Agreements made by the previous government and the construction of thermal power plants at Manuguru and Damaracherla. Mr. Rao has filed a writ petition challenging the constitution of the Commission.
The state government constituted the one-man commission with retired High Court judge L. Narasimha Reddy to conduct a judicial enquiry into the decisions taken by the BRS government regarding power purchase from Chhattisgarh by DISCOMS and the construction of Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant at Manuguru and Yadadri Thermal Power Plant at Damaracherla by TS GENCO.
